Assignment #7
Chase Jarvis is a photographer out of seattle who shoots in a variety of creative ways. His greyscale Landscape shots have a deep and puzzling aspect to them which comes along with alot of contrast and some unique compositions. These photo's are shot with a wide angle lense between a 14-24mm. He shoots with a f2.8 but would probably be shooting wish a smaller Apature to allow more of the photo to be in focus because of a deeper depth of field. When shooting portrait he uses a 85mm 1.4 prime whuch allows him to fully blow out the background and gives a sharper image.

Assignment #5
In this photo we underexposed the background and used a gold reflector to fill in the subject. By shooting at a higher shutter speed we were able to still create a sharp image while under exposing the rest of the photo. By blowing out the background draws attention to the subject as well as the contrast from the under exposure creates more emphasis on the subject.

Assignment #3
In this picture we went to a dark location and use the white reflector to reflect the avalible light into the subjects face. By manipulating the light we can fill in the subject and maintain a sharp photo.
This photo was shot during an overcast day and to fill in the subject we used the gold reflector. The reflector allows for a sharp image but also created a lighter hue to the photo which creates contrast to the background.
Assignment #2
Two photographers whose work I really enjoy and would like to learn how to shoot like are chase jarvis and Dave lehl.
http://www.davelehl.com/
Dave Lehl specialized in winter sport photography and is an award winning snowboard photographer. He is based out of Summit County, Colorado and has been featured on many international snowboard cover shoots. The thing about his shots that appeal to me are the extreme action that he captures while using an external flash to create pop in the photo.

Chase jarvis is a well known photographer who shoots out of seattle. He focus's more on the fine art side of photography but still has some amazing action shots. Chase has shot everywhere from deserts to the mountain tops of new zealand and is always able to make his photos different yet with the same draw and creativity they always do.
